ICONIC PUERH ART CULTURE

’11 Yiwu Zheng Silong

$24.87$168.00

Creamy, vanilla, not too sweet

The ’11 Yiwu Zheng Silong indicates puerh region and maker.  Zheng Silong’s productions garner some measure of attention in Mainland, the abroad Chinese world, and non-Chinese readers alike.  His productions are true to the Yiwu character in every respect and fall decidedly in the genteel Zen Class.

The YZSL is creamy, punctuated by a sweet puffed wheat and vanilla aroma.  The vanilla is its most outstanding attribute, intensifying a bit into what one drinker associated with bourbon.  Overall, this production is light in texture, a might too light, though the sweetness is nicely balanced.  There is no astringency to speak of and the drinking experience is definitely best at near room temperature.  Qi is mildly sedating, though the third round seemed particularly heavy, enough for me to need a nap.

Here’s what the wrapper reads:

Original juice, original flavour, original shengtai
Traditional processing, handmade production
Organic beverage for health and longevity
Natural fermentation, the older the better

Yeah, it’s a shengtai, sometimes translated as “environmental,” indicating trees growing among other trees and the like.  Storage on this has been quite decent, neither wet nor dry, not in anyway too cold.  It’s reasonable the tastes will intensify and it will thicken up with proper storage.  It’s been stored in Los Angeles since April ’21.  357g.
