The ’12 Mooncake (200g) by Yangpin Hao Puerh Junky collection since ’16. Around then, the mouthfeel had a heavy siltiness reflecting excellent raw material and a skillful processing hand. As of ’23, it has subsequently transitioned into a woody expression with lotsa resin. Mooncake is a thick square (like a mooncake) with slick design, embossed with the YPH logo on the obverse side, and comes in a snazzy box for the bona fide Puerh Junky. Storage has been conservative. Not much humidification in its storage, just enough to keep it juicy and happy.
YPH is one of the old pre-monopoly brands going back to before the 1850s. Originally located in Yi Bang, in 2000 the resurrected YPH brand resumed operations in Jing Hong, Menghai County in the midst of industry restructuring that afforded private enterprise. YPH is a highly regarded brand using only shengtai materials and listings in the Puerh Yearbook.
