’19 Crouching Tiger Puerh Cake is autumn Zen. There’s no hint of flowers. It’s mostly thick sweet water, with notes of vanilla.
The ’19 Crouching Tiger is a Burmese production, just across the Yunnan border. The vendor Book and Sword has been producing this puerh tea since 2013. Puerh Junky has the ’14, ’16, and ’18 and has found it to be a consistently a very heady performer. The ethnic Dong man of 27 who served it in ’17 spoke of it as having a qi that goes to the head as opposed to the gut. Spot on. Crouching Tiger Puerh is autumn tea. There’s no hint of flowers and as of ‘23 exhibits an earth tone cologne.
