As of Jan 2025, Green Peacock, Xinghai TF comes with a fast exhilarating qi, along the backdrop of layered flavours. Honey, lemon, slight apple place it in the Floral and Fruity Classes. Deeper infusions reveal characteristic Bulang bitterness. The astringency is there, but so is a glossy smoothness and twinge of sour instantly piquing salivation. The full aroma coats the pitcher indicative of serious productions at least three-times the cost.
This is an excellent introduction to Xinghai factory productions as well as being a great daily option for dedicated Bulang drinkers. The play between sweet and bitter, sophistication and abrasion, make for an engaging drinking experience provided some care is taken in brewing.
