Toasted marshmallow, high viscosity, paralysing qi. Released the same year the BZ Peacock nearly identical wrapper and same name, Peacock Coma has a “coffee” ring around the wrapper in contrast to red. Ostensibly it’s the same material as the red ring, but counterintuitively the processing of coffee is fresh, juicy, and fruity. No Juicy Fruit taste, i.e. no tropical fruits, but in the neighbourhood of white-fleshed melon with a dash of citrus. Bitter crescendo dancing vanilla huigan. Leaf size is about 4-6 range, which lends to the durability and rich fruity profile. Banzhang old tree material (班章正寨老树). Old tree Banzhang village proper material, from the altitude of 1700 meters. Batch #601. Stored in Los Angeles since May ’21.
Lasts forever, possibly longer than the red. Original storage was in Kunming under decent conditions, not excessively dry but certainly no effort was made to hasten transformation. This is actually a good thing for those who covet the depth of flavour, texture, sweetness, and longevity that proper conservative storage imparts on high quality puerhs possessing bright fruit flair. There is a noticeable depth to offerings of this sort that contrasts with high-fire processed raws.
