Mountain berry, moderate sweetness, big-time astringency. Sweet berry nose. Classic Menghai aggressive character very traditionally processed with standard compression. Bittersweetness with definite bitter flair when pushed. Durable. Moderate qi and viscosity. Having observed its transformation since ’16, it considerably sweeter with the berry emerging only the last three years. This production was relatively rare and pricy till about ’21, when by all guesses the factory released a load from its warehouse. Great representation of traditional processing. From state-enterprise Liming, so the price is actually considerably less than comparable productions. First batch, 501, Peacock Country. Originally stored in Kunming in Los Angeles since Jul ’22.
